Unreliability
I got a new caregiver on 10/18/2023. I don't remember, but I assume it went ok that week.
She seemed like a nice girl and she actually is a nice girl, just too much eke going on.
I am supposed to get a care giver Monday through Friday each week for 3 hours each day. The next week, either Monday or Tuesday she has to leave 1/2 hour early and left early Wednesday also. Thursday and Friday she cant come at all. Asked for someone more reliable.
They schedule her again instead the next Monday, 10/30. She doesnt show up and agency cant even reach her, because her phone is off. I asked again for someone reliable, but no, they schedule her for today. I am waiting for her to not show up again.
They tell me they have no one reliable.
I have no family in this area and physically and mentally also at this point I am not doing well. This situation is having a bad effect on my body and my mind.

Poor Office Employees

Poor commitment to service.
Help at home was hired to care for my loved one. They routinely neglected to inform me that services were cancelled or that they were not going to fulfill the hours.
Several times they overlapped scheduling, two of the aides they sent were not providing services according to the care plan, one lied to me, my husband and the office. He sat on my couch and played with the kittens instead. Another was very rude. Another home care aide did his job but constantly write things down in a notebook and he to played with the kittens.
I then received a visit from adult protective services about trumped up accusations. Even the company lied to me continuously.
I have severed health issues myself and needed the care for my loved one. I terminated the contract with help at home.
Even the office personnel was rude from the very beginning. I would much rather go without the service than place undo stress upon my husband and myself that this company subjected is to.

Been over a month since I had a caregiver
I had to let one go because all she did was sit and smoke and play on her phone.
I've been calling and calling with no response or callbacks.I'm not supposed to be doing all this because of my falling and passing out at the time.I've been in and out of the ER a number of times from falling due to doing all this cleaning. What is their problem, I may not pay for the service but do expect respect, which I don't get.
I've had enough. I'm not going to have this company kill me because they don't do their job. I don't care if they know it's me writing this. Ms.

Amen sister! I’ve had the exact same problems with Help at Home.
Thought I was the only one. I believe some of this is elder abuse.
